Entrance Reconfiguration Final (EA) and (FONSI).

The Environmental Office and Facilities Management Branch are pleased to announce the availability of the WFF Main Entrance Reconfiguration Final Environmental Assessment (EA).

Based on the Final EA for this project NASA has issued a FONSI, meaning that an Environmental Impact Statement is not needed for the project as proposed.

As proposed, NASA would reconfigure the main entrance to the Main Base to alleviate safety and traffic congestion concerns created by the current layout.

The two- or four-phased project would include construction of a new badge office and visitor parking area, security personnel parking area, truck inspection area, guard house and canopy, a traffic roundabout, and consolidated Shipping and Receiving Facility.
