The Caregiver Virtual Event Series

You (or someone you know) may be one of the millions of Americans caring for a loved one who is disabled or otherwise requires some assistance. Attend this 3-part virtual series to learn what you need to know and where to get help when you need it.

June 29 @ 1:00-2:30 pm EDT: Donna Schempp LCSW, Retired Program Director, Family Caregiver Alliance discusses "Caregiving 101".

July 20 @ 1:00-2:30 pm EDT: Barry Jacobs, Psy.D. a clinical psychologist specializing in helping families cope with serious and chronic medical illnesses shares the positive aspects of being a caregiver.

August 23 @ 1:00-2:30 pm EDT: Leah Eskenazi, MSW, Director of Operations and Planning of the Family Caregiver Alliance. How the non-profit Family Caregiver Alliance supports families nationwide caring for loved ones with chronic, disabling health conditions. NASA OHCM representatives will discuss internal Agency resources for civil service employees who are caregivers, including telework, flexible work schedules and the leave bank. Ms. Jackie Reese MA, LPAC, the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Director at JSC, will be discussing EAP benefits and resources available to NASA employees who are caregivers.

All NASA employees and contractors are invited to join the event via Adobe Connect at: https://ac.arc.nasa.gov/caregiver. Attendance is limited to the first 500 participants, so please join early or attend in groups. To log into the session, please select "Enter as a Guest," complete the "Name" field and select "Enter Room." Audio will be provided through the Adobe Connect session, so please remember to turn on your speakers.
