On Tuesday, November 13th, NASA will be sponsoring talks by two expert on climate change impacts at its Wallops Flight Facility Visitor Center from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

The first speaker is Dr. Joel Scheraga, the Senior Advisor for Climate Adaptation in the EPA’s Office of Policy in the Office of the Administrator. In addition to his role in the EPA and other national climate change decision-making bodies, Dr. Scheraga has also worked with the World Health Organization and the 2007 Nobel Prize winning United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

The second speaker is Skip Stiles, Executive Director of Wetlands Watch, a grassroots-level organization focused on wetland protection and sea level rise awareness. Mr. Stiles received the William H. Savedge III Environmental Achievement Award from the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, was asked to serve on the Virginia Commission on Climate Change in 2008 in recognition of the work Wetlands Watch was doing on sea level rise, and was asked to testify before a US House of Representatives Committee looking at sea level rise in the Chesapeake Bay.

The event is free of charge and open to the public!
