Wallops Flight Facility (WFF) violated a Virginia Department of Health (VDH) drinking water standard for low chlorine levels in the Main Base drinking water system from January 19 to 20, 2021. Although this was not an emergency, as a WFF customer, you have a right to know what happened, what WFF did to correct this situation, and what you should do.
As a WFF partner and customer served by the water system, please disseminate the hyperlinked consumer notice to all personnel, including employees and/or residents. Additionally, please ensure that copies are posted conspicuously in all of your facilities.
WFF's top priority is to provide a safe and dependable supply of drinking water to all employees, tenants, and partners. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this announcement or would like additional information on the quality of NASA WFF drinking water, please contact Mr. R. Owen Hooks of the WFF Environmental Office, at (757) 824-1941.
